  • By law all Cambodian children are supposed to attend primary school, Students also make choices of whether it is more feasible/profitable to continue studies or use the study time for less skilled work. Poor families are weighing up the options and returns of education especially if there is not necessarily a job at the end of studies.

    Samaki Life facilitates in teaching extra curriculum activities based at a local village level as well as  sponsoring 30 children from urban low-income families. The children study English language at various private schools in urban Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. There is an end of term monitoring check on students to evaluate their progress and active Interaction with children, parents and sponsors. Our statement of purpose is "To develop life skills that assist in breaking the cycle of poverty"
